HOSPITAL VISIT 2025 “HEAL”: HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE, ASSESSMENT, AND LEARNING ABOUT NEUROLOGY

Tangerang, September 20, 2025 — “Hospital Experience, Assessment, and Learning About Neurology” was successfully carried out as the theme of Hospital Visit 2025. This event is one of the flagship programs organized by AMSA-UAJ (Asian Medical Students’ Association – Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya). The Hospital Visit aims to provide new students of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia the opportunity to learn through seminars delivered by experts in their respective fields.

For this event, the Hospital Visit invited Dr. dr. Poppy K. Sasmita, Sp.N, M.Kes., P.A. and Dr. Mardjono Tjahjadi, Sp.BS, PhD, FICS, who presented a seminar on the topic of neurology. In addition to the seminar, participants of the 2025 Hospital Visit were given the opportunity to join a guided hospital tour, led by the hospital staff.

During the tour, students were introduced to the advanced facilities at Mandaya Royal Hospital Puri. One highlight was the MRI machine equipped with Netflix access, designed to enhance patient comfort during the MRI procedure. Following the tour, participants were also given a chance to learn about and perform reflex testing, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a practical setting.
